Current Initiatives

Over the last few years, the popularity of the Power Smart Waterfall of Lights has grown beyond expectations. While there are two heated warming building on site, the ongoing request from the public has been for heated washrooms and a canteen. Through extensive partnerships with the City of Brandon and Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation, there will be a heated canteen and washroom building on site for the beginning of the 2010-2011 season.

Brandon Riverbank Inc. graciously thanks J&G/RONA and their many contributing trades people for providing labour and materials to retro-fit a building to meet the needs of the many users of the winter lights area. The building will be moved this fall and renovated on site. MTS Allstream has also been an invaluable partner in this initiative, as they have generously sponsored the provision of utility servicing to the building location as well. This new addition will enable families to enjoy the winter wonderland along the riverbank even more!
